Red Light Cameras

December 30th, 2009 No comments

I gotta wonder if the dam things even work…
Sitting at the intersection of Virginia beach blvd and great neck, and I see the flash going off several times for no apparent reason…
The other thing is that it seems that the intersections with red light cameras, now have shorter green lights, is that planned?

Paddle for the Bay Race

August 1st, 2009 No comments

The Chesapeake Bay Foundations 13th annual paddle for the bay race was today, and even though i didn’t race in it, I did make it down for the start. There were about 25 solo racers in various craft, as well as 3, 6 man out riggers. I couldn’t hang around for the finish, but if I find the results I’ll post them here….
