<p>London Bridge Road between Virginia Beach Boulevard and Dam Neck used to be a 2 lane country road with absolutely no street lights on it, now it is a 4 lane road, with enough lights to light an NFL stadium.</p>

<p>If you take a look at these lights, they are spaces very tightly, maybe 75 feet, there are at least 60 lights in a distance of less then a mile. </p>

<p>And the waste continues Southbound&#8230;</p>
<p>I have no idea what kind of deal the city or state for that matter has with Dominion Power, but in light of the recent 18% rate increase, I can&#8217;t imagine that it is going to be cheap to keep this this section of road light. The smart thing to do would be to yank at least half of these, and use them somewhere else. </p>
<p>I wonder how much lighting this section of road costs in comparison to an additional Police or Fireman&#8230;</p>
